Parents Become Bullied On Social Media Too

Cyberbullying is a huge problem among children, but some people do not get that parents can get cyberbullied also. Social media disputes regularly target parents who are seeking advice or attempting to make friends. Facebook parenting classes are renowned to be cliquish and unwelcoming to parents who join. And it isn't really a surprise which parents are demonstrating bad behaviour online. Various studies have demonstrated that people feel permitted to be mean or cruel online in a sense that they would not inperson. Children pick up on that and eventually become bullies themselves when they listen to parents discuss how they bully the others on line.

I Was A Victim

I used to be a casualty of online mom bullying when I combined a neighborhood parent's Facebook group. A fellow member in the staff asked a concern about a school event and was immediately designated for torment by the others in the group. When I defended the newest mommy the group turned on me. Obviously, I am an adult, so that I was better equipped to handle the bullying than a young child could be. But it was still very upsetting and frightening.

Absolutely no person deserves to be bullied

Subsequent to one other moms from the group decided to make my life as hard as you can they started sending me tens of thousands of messages berating and belittling me. One kept telling me to kill myself because my kids will be better off without me. As fast as I'd block them they'd create new dummy accounts and message me again. And on Facebook, you can't block strangers by sending you messages.

The Bullies Gain Strength

They began texting everybody on my Facebook friends list saying terrible things about me. And they called my boss and tried to get me fired. They almost did catch me fired. My boss said to maintain my own personal issues from their workplace because he was mad that these were calling and freezing always. They even had their children harass my children at school. It had been dreadful. And if it had been very troubling for me as an adult I cannot even imagine how difficult it really is for a kid to manage that type of behaviour.

We teach our children to not frighten, why not we do exactly the very same? What You Could Perform

You're not responsible for people bullying you and you are not responsible for the actions of others. If you're being bullied on social networking accounts your bullies and prevent them. Maintain a record of every message and every incident so that you can report them in the town where you live. Additionally, check out Kiwi Searches should they've done something like this before. But there are also some way to protect yourself on the Web to stop any severe effects if you do get bullied like:

Don't list your company openly in your profile. This only tells people how to harass you even further.

Don't set your own address or any personal information publicly in your profile. Make sure that all of your security settings are locked down tight.
